AppSweep allows you to collaborate with your teammates on application security scans and share findings with your team.

Note: Only invite teammates you trust to your AppSweep team. Team members will have access to scan results and potentially sensitive information about your applications.

Creating a Team

As a new AppSweep user, you'll automatically have a personal team with yourself as the only member.

If you want to create additional teams, click on the “Create team” button from the dropdown teams menu.

Inviting Teammates

Note: Only users with "Manage team” permission can invite people to the team.

To invite colleagues to your team:

  1. Navigate to the "Team Settings" tab

  2. Select "Users" from the left-hand side menu

  3. Click the "Invite User" button

  4. Enter the email address of the person you want to invite

  5. Choose the permissions you want to give to the new team member

  6. Send the invitation

AppSweep offers specific permissions to control what team members can do within each team.

By default, all team members can upload apps and view scan results without any additional permissions.

Team managers can assign two types of permissions to team members:

1. Manage Team permission allows:

  • Adding new members to the team

  • Control other members’ permissions

  • Removing users from the team

2. Manage Automation permission allows:

  • Setting up API keys for automating scans

Leaving a team

Note: You cannot leave teams that you own. To do that you need to transfer the ownership on the “Team Settings” page.

If you want to leave a team, you need to:

  1. Navigate to “Account Settings”

  2. Select "My teams" from the left-hand side menu

  3. Click the “Leave” button of the team you want to leave
