Controlling Data Retention For Your AppSweep Applications

Automating the data retention controls using AppSweep Enterprise

Updated over a week ago

In addition to providing users of AppSweep the ability to delete builds and have full control of the data we store in AppSweep, we have also gone a step further to provide automated data retention controls which allow you to control how long, or how many builds are stored in AppSweep.

Pre-Requisites for Data Retention

Data retention controls are a feature that is enabled with a subscription to AppSweep Enterprise.

In order to modify the data retention controls you will also require the Team Manager permission within your team. You can confirm your permissions in the Team Settings area of AppSweep.

Data Retention Options

When setting a data retention policy, you have three options:

  • Disabled - Means no automated data retention controls are applied for this application and all builds / history will be retained unless explicitly deleted.

  • Time - Allows you to define a policy that only retains builds for a specified number of days. The maximum value you can enter is 365 days.

  • Builds - Allows you to define a policy that only retains the specified number of recent builds. The maximum value you can enter is 99 builds.

Please reach out if you have any feedback on this feature, or to discuss getting access to AppSweep Enterprise for your team.
